Safety Disclaimer

Mobility products and devices are powerful machines designed for adults whose legs tire easily and who need assistance to travel distances they once could walk comfortably. These devices are intended for use in fully controlled and safe environments.

As the purchaser and owner of your mobility device, you are solely responsible for keeping yourself safe at all times. Your device has the capability to help you reclaim your old lifestyle, and it can grow with your confidence and skill level. However, it is imperative that you remain in full control during the entire learning process and give your complete attention every time you use your mobility device.

Where you can use your mobility device. Most mobility products and devices can be used wherever traditional, non-motorized mobility aids are allowed. However, it is your responsibility to check and obey all local laws. Your mobility device may only be used in safe areas where all laws are followed and all required permissions are obtained.

Assumption of risk. Because it is impossible to anticipate every situation, condition, or physical limitation that may occur while using a mobility device, Regained Mobility makes no representation about the safe use of any mobility product or device under all conditions. There are inherent risks associated with the use of any mobility device—including but not limited to falls, collisions, loss of control, mechanical failure, and injury—which cannot be predicted or avoided. These risks are the sole responsibility of the user.

BATTERY USE RISK (LITHIUM-ION)

Improper use, care, or charging of a lithium-ion battery could cause serious injury to yourself, others, your property, or your device. If the battery is tampered with or damaged in any way, do not use the product. Find a hazardous waste removal center immediately.

It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to maintain safe storage and treatment of the battery at all times.

  • Only use the charger that came with your device. Just because a charger fits does not mean it is safe to use.

  • Keep your device away from extremely high or low temperatures. Do not place the battery in direct sunshine, and do not store the battery inside a car in significant hot or cold weather.

  • Do not expose the battery to water or allow the battery to get wet.

  • Do not continue charging the battery if it does not recharge within the specified charging time. Doing so may cause the battery to become hot, explode, or ignite.

  • Do not use your device if you notice any damage to the battery after dropping it. If you suspect damage to the battery, email our support or dispose of the battery and order a replacement.

  • Do not disassemble or modify the battery in any way. Modifying your device or its electronics significantly increases the risk of explosion or fire.
